To bake or not to bake...

That is the question. Mat and I are debating whether or not I do the Christmas plate again. It is a lot of time and can add up fast but the result is so fun! Just trying to decide if I am up for it after this weekend. So we had a fun Saturday evening planned. A big group of couples to go ice skating downtown and then come back to our place for cinnamon rolls and wassail. Sure enough Saturday late afternoon the roads started icing over, we decided to forego the skating (postpone until Jan/Feb) and for those who wanted to brave the roads our door was open. Heaven knows we had plenty of cinnamon rolls. I baked all day (1st time with cinnamon rolls), not the best but not so bad either. The wassail hit the spot and we ended up with about 25 people showing up. It was so fun to just visit and listen to Christmas music! Once the group got down to about 7 couples we busted out Catch Phrase and played a few rounds, it was a blast. While everyone was here one of our friends got the call that church was cancelled due to the ice storm that was expected. Today we did not end up having the ice storm but spent the day at home relaxing, playing with the boys and enjoying time together. We attempted to put together the ginger bread house with some friends from our ward (thanks Missi for the great Costco suggestion) and realized we are not so talented or artistic. As soon as the first ginger bread man came out he had a bite taken out of him as you can see. D enjoyed the eating more than anything! Our little one just crawled around the floor looking for whatever he could find to chew on. It was a fun night!
