Babies

Derek has an obsession lately with babies. It started with Tawna (my sister) and her kids coming out, he loved baby Kate. She is 4 1/2 months old and adorable, he thought so too. He would get right in her face and say "why you gotta do that baby Kate?" teasing her and laughing the whole time. He learned "shake your booty" from Isaac that week and he sure shook his trying to make Kate laugh.
Then baby Avrie (a beautiful one month old) starting making more regular appearances with her parents (they took a hiatus after the birth from regular weekly Larsen time). He is obsessed with wanting to know what she is doing underneath that blanket (while she is nursing). Why can he only see her foot? Evidently he doesn't recall the process (though it wasn't super long lived) with Will. He again loves to try and say funny things to her and get right in her grill. He does the same with baby Bailey another adorable 5 month old that comes over to play...the jokes, the dancing and attempts at entertaining.
Then baby Bruce, our friends the Wings came over for a fun dinner one night and they have a newly turned one year old. Though Bruce is walking and quite independent I guess since he is smaller than Derek and smaller than Will he was classified as baby Bruce. D thought he was so much fun and now at any church function, activity, etc. he wants to stalk and track down baby Bruce.
Of course with our news as of late he is now excited about the baby in my tummy. During dogpiles he is very concerned about the babies wellbeing and that he or Will or Dad "don't hurt the baby". The other night he was asking questions about how big it was, etc. and I went and got my What to Expect When Your Expecting book and told him the baby was about the size of an apple. Next thing I know he was in the fridge grabbing out an apple and chowing it down. Now do we have a cannibal on our hands? Crazy kid...I just love him!

So cute! I laughed about the nursing thing. Sylvia saw a baby nursing the other day and was wondering why the baby liked to hide under the blanket. I guess she doesn't remember the hours that Clara spent like that :). Miss you guys.
