We had fun getting ready for Easter. Read a great book to Derek for the couple of weeks leading up to it that talked about the Saviors life, Atonement, death and Ressurection. It was neat to hear his questions and see him begin to have an appreciation for the Savior. A few days before we made some sugar cookies, what started out as such a fun idea I quickly had to let go and just realize flour was going to be everywhere. D started out in sweats but had climbed up on the flour filled counter and covered his pants in flour. I had him strip down so he wouldn't drag flour all over the house. We did have a good time doing it and I loved the finger prints in the cookies and the extra dough pieces used to decorate the other cutouts.
Easter morning was fun with the boys, they were excited to go on a hunt for their baskets and then we headed over to the Shipps for a little Easter egg hunt. It was so fun to have the kids play and to see how excited the boys got about finding their eggs. We had a regional conference from Salt Lake that day and then headed home for dinner. A couple of families came over for dinner and it was relaxing, yummy and good company. It was a nice Easter and fun to be with great friends.
Derek, so excited about all that his basket held!
